A BIRD STRIKE WHICH RESULTED IN FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COMPRESSOR. A BERM AND THE LACK OF SUITABLE TERRAIN FOR A FORCED LANDING WERE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS.
