THE RESULT OF AN INADEQUATE ANNUAL INSPECTION BY OTHER MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND, AS A RESULT, A TOTAL FAILURE OF THE THROTTLE LINKAGE. A FACTOR WAS THE PILOT OVERSHOT HIS INTENDED EMERGENCY LANDING AREA, DUE TO EXCESSIVE SPEED.
